Indonesia Activities
PACS faculty member Duane Ruth-Heffelbower was on leave to Universitas Kristen Duta Wacana in Yogyakarta, Indonesia from August 1, 1999 until December 2001. At Duta Wacana he was part of the Department of Research (Lembaga Penelitian Inovasi Pendidikan) under an appointment from Mennonite Central Committee. The particular assignment was to the developing peace center Pusat Studi dan Pengembangan Perdamaian where he assisted the faculty in increasing the capacity of Duta Wacana to provide education, training and intervention services in the area of conflict management and peacemaking. Duane's wife Clare Ann was the Program Director for MCC Indonesia during those years. Duane also maintains a web scrapbook of life in Indonesia.
