After the first two years of working on the project we determined that printed or multi-media materials alone will not do the job. What is needed in addition is specific training for those resettlement staff persons who actually hope to use our materials. Our third project year focused on producing materials and holding two training for trainers events. The book produced as a culmination of the project is described on the Refugee Conflict Project home page. The first training for trainers was held November 5-7, 1998, immediately before the Office of Refugee Resettlement annual conference. Forty-nine people from twelve states were trained. The second training was held June 2-5, 1999 at Fresno Pacific University. ![]() Group trained at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington, DC Nov. 5-7, 1998
