Conflict and Peacemaking Across Cultures:
Training for Trainers

Fresno: Center for Peacemaking and Conflict Studies, 1999 (164 pp., 28 cm). ISBN 0-9673075-0-3. This publication distills the work of the project. The beta version was first used at a pre-conference workshop before the ORR National Conference, Nov. 5-7, 1998. The final version was used in a June 2-5, 1999 training event at Fresno Pacific University in Fresno, CA, and the book was published in August 1999. This project began October 1, 1996 and concluded September 28, 1999. A preliminary report on the project is found in the Spring 1999 edition of Conciliation Quarterly, the publication of Mennonite Conciliation Service. The issue focuses on this project and other aspects of refugees in conflict.

Duane Ruth-Heffelbower moved to Indonesia at the conclusion of the project and worked at applying the principles and experience developed in the project to peacebuilding work there. He returned to PACS at the end of 2001.
